MAP, also known as Plan B or emergency contraception, can prevent a pregnancy after contraceptive failure, unprotected sex, or sexual assault. It can be taken within 5 days (120 hours) of unprotected sex, though the sooner you take it the more effective it will be. You must call first before coming to the Health Center. We will see you as soon as we can or refer you to the nearest pharmacy.
**MAP is not Mifeprex (the abortion pill); and will not work if you are already pregnant prior to the unprotected sex..
Staff members and APRNs are available to speak with clients about the changes and choices they face as they approach menopause. Clients can explore the benefits and risks of treatment options, such as conventional hormone replacement therapy, or holistic alternatives, such as vitamin, mineral, and dietary supplements. Bio-Indentical Hormones are an option that our APRN’s can provide.
For severe PMS symptoms, menopause discomfort or other hormone related problems, bio-identical hormones may be the answer without the side effects often resulting from synthetic hormones. Talk to ARPNs about this option.
